This position Reports to the Senior Manager Responsibilities: Responsible for the reconciliation of general ledger asset, debt and clearance accounts related to both first mortgage and reverse mortgage origination. Ensuring the accuracy of accounting in the GL and responsibility for making and approving journals where required. Communicating with other business units, researching and resolving the open reconciliation items and suspense clearing and escalating issues as appropriate Participate in special accounting related projects (ledger enhancements, reporting changes, etc) Respond to internal and external audit inquiry Compliance and maintenance with internal controls frameworks Support financial reporting process with required origination disclosure data on a monthly and quarterly basis. Key Result Areas: Successful ownership of assigned accounting with minimal supervision in 2 months.
